Operational Test - Temperature Control System
(3)
Operational Test - 190°F Duct Overheat Switches
B. The system test of the temperature control system does a check for electrical continuity and correct operation of the system components. It is necessary to have the pack valves in the open position to do this test. However, the pack valves will not open without pneumatic pressure. This test does not use pneumatic pressure to open the pack valves. To give a signal that the pack valves are open, it is necessary to disconnect the electrical connector on the side of the pack valve with the visual indicator.
C. The operational test of the temperature control system does a check of the system during normal system operations. To do this test, you must supply electrical power and pneumatic pressure before you can operate the cooling packs.
D. There are two temperature control systems. One temperature control system is for the control cabin. The second temperature control system is for the passenger cabin. These tests will make sure the temperature control system for the control cabin and the passenger cabin operates correctly. You must do the tests for the temperature control systems one system at a time.
E. These tests use heating equipment to do a check of the system components. Refer to 20-10-27/201, Heat Guns, Soldering Guns, Soldering Irons, for the use of the heating equipment before you do these tests.
