(3) Get access to the 190°F duct overheat switch for the control cabin:
(a) Remove the aft bulkhead lining in the forward cargo compartment (Ref 25-52-81/401).

(4) Get access to the 190°F duct overheat switch for the passenger cabin:
(a) Remove the overhead ceiling panels in the passenger cabin which are near the forward edge of the right wing of the airplane (Ref 25-21-45/401).
E. Thermal Test - 190°F Duct Overheat Switches
NOTE: This test will make sure the 190°F duct overheat switch for the
____
control cabin and the passenger cabin operates correctly.

(1) Do these steps when you do the test to the 190°F duct overheat switch for the control cabin:
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector, D486, from the left pack valve.
(b)
Move the L PACK switch to AUTO or HIGH, on the P5-10 panel.

(2) Do these steps when you do the test to the 190°F duct overheat switch for the passenger cabin:
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector, D490, from the right pack valve.
(b)
Move the R PACK switch to AUTO or HIGH, on the P5-10 panel.

Remove the 190°F duct overheat switch for the control cabin, but do not disconnect the electrical wires from the switch.

Use the specified heat source equipment to increase the temperature of the overheat switch probe to 190°F (88°C).

CAUTION: DO NOT LET THE TEMPERATURE OF THE OVERHEAT SWITCH PROBE GET
_______ HOTTER THAN 200 DEGREES F (93 DEGREES C). THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE OVERHEAT SWITCH.
(5) Make sure these lights come on when the temperature of the overheat switch probe gets to 190|10°F (88|5°C):
(a)
DUCT OVERHEAT light on the P5-17 panel
(b)
MASTER CAUTION and AIR COND annunciator lights on the P7 panel
