Do the steps that follow to remove the forward section of the modulation panel from the aft section:
(a)
Remove the eight bolts, nuts and washers from the hinge.
(b)
Move the forward section of the modulation panel aft.
(c)
Remove the forward section of the modulation panel.
E. Install the Modulation Panel

(1) Do the steps that follow to install the modulation panel in the ram air inlet:
(a)
Do these steps to install the aft section of the modulation panel in the ram air inlet. 1) Install the aft section of the modulation panel in the
opening of the ram air inlet. 2) Make sure the rollers are in the correct tracks. 3) Move the modulation panel aft.
(b)
Do these steps to install the forward section of the modulation panel in the ram air inlet: 1) Put the forward section of the modulation panel in the
correct position. 2) Install the eight bolts, washers, and nuts.
(c)
Remove the rig pin.
(d)
Turn the modulation quadrant to close the modulation panel.
NOTE: You can use the shop aid to turn the modulation

quadrant.
(e) Attach the forward end of the panel assembly to the structure with the seven bolts.

(f) Do the steps that follow to do a test of the modulation panel. 1) Manually operate the quadrant to open and close the
modulation panel. 2) Make sure the modulation panel moves freely.
NOTE: There will be some friction between the bulb
____ seal and the structure.
