Open the thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (4)  
Connect the test hardware.

 (a)  
Find the flange where the HPTCC valve is installed to the air tube of the HPT shroud manifold.

 (b)  
Remove the outer bolts (2 locations) from the flange of the HPTCC valve.

 (c)  
Install the microswitch bracket and switches on the forward face of the air manifold. 1) Use the two longer bolts and a flat washer as a spacer

 below the microswitch bracket. 2) Torque the bolts to 55-70 pound-inches (6-8 Newton meters).

 (d)  
Connect the electric cable to the electrical connector on the microswitch bracket.

 (e)  
Connect the electric cable to the control box in the flight compartment.

 (f)  
Make sure the control box is off.

 (5)  
Close the thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Close the fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 (7)  
Put the electrical cable in a safe place between the nacelle and the flight compartment.

 (8)  
Do the Power Plant (Normal) Operation to start the engine (AMM 71-00-00/201).

 (9)  
Let the engine become stable at minimum idle for a minimum of 10 minutes after each engine start.


 NOTE: If this is the first start of the day, 3 minutes is a
____ sufficient time. You can only operate the timer once during an engine run. The engine must be shut down to arm the timer.

 (10) Do the check for the HPTCC Timer.
 NOTE: Engines without the HPTCC timer and with the HPTCC valve,

 must do the check for the HPTCC valve only (Go to the
 paragraph for the HPTCC valve).

 (a)  
Make sure the 5th stage LED is not on.

 (b)  
Make sure the 9th stage LED is not on.

 (c)  
Turn the control box on.


 CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY MORE THAN THE STATIC TAKEOFF THRUST FOR THESE
_______
 CONDITIONS. IF YOU APPLY MORE THAN THE STATIC TAKEOFF
 THRUST, DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE CAN OCCUR.

 (d)  Slowly move the forward thrust lever forward for 20-30 seconds until the N2 RPM is no more than 97%. 1) If the conditions are lower, increase to static takeoff
 thrust (AMM 71-00-00/201).
