 (15) Install and engage the flexible shafts on each side of the master ballscrew actuator.
 NOTE: To do this, put in position and compress the spring hexagonal
____
 end of the flexible shaft at the positions that follow:

 -
the end away from the actuator (upper shaft)


 -
the actuator end (lower shaft).
 Do this while you engage the 8-point fitting at the opposite
 end.

 

 Look for the best position of the splined ends of the VBV flexible shaft. Do not move an adjusted door to install the flexible shaft into the next door.

 Engage the main flexible shaft.

 Connect the VBV feedback rod on the feedback lever for door position as follows:


 (a)  Lubricate the exposed sides of the uniballs, with three to four drops of water repellant (CP2857). 1) Let the lubricant soak for 2-3 minutes. 2) Manually turn the uniballs in all directions.
 NOTE: If binding or frozen slightly, use an open-end
____ wrench on the linkage to turn the rod end.
 3) Apply three to four more drops of lubricant if it is necessary. 4) Move the uniballs in all directions until movement is smooth and free. 5) Wipe off the excess lubricant.
 (b)  
Put the clevis in position on the feedback lever.

 (c)  
Lubricate the bolt threads with grease.

 (d)  
Install the bolt, washer and slotted nut.

 (e)  
Tighten the slotted nut, while you align the nut slot with the cotter pin hole.


 NOTE: Replace the nut if:
____
 -
you cannot get the minimum torque value

 -
you get more than the maximum torque value.


 (f)  Install and bend the cotter pin on the two sides of the nut.
