(g)  
If the torque values are not correct, tighten the bolts as necessary.

 (h)  
If the torque values are correct, replace the gasket between the valve and the fuel manifold.

 (i)  
Do the leak check again if you tighten the bolts or replace the gasket.

 (j)  
If the pressure decreases more than 10 psi (70 kPa), examine the junction plate connection for leaks as follows:


 CAUTION: DO NOT REMOVE OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SEAL AT THE TOP
_______ AND BOTTOM SURFACES OF THE STRUT FAIRING. IF THE SEAL IS DAMAGED, LEAKS CAN OCCUR.
 1)  Remove the screws (15 locations) that attach the right fairing half of the strut to get access to the drain outlet for the HPT clearance control valve.
 2) Remove the fairing.
 3) Find the source of the leakage.
 4) Make sure the tube nut is tightened to the correct torque

 value or that the tube has no damage.
 5)  Tighten, repair or replace the tube if it is necessary.
 6)  Do the leak check again.
 7)  Install the strut fairing half as follows:
 a)  Remove the remaining sealant from the fairing and mating surfaces on the extension ring and fan frame strut.
 b) Clean the surfaces with Methyl Ethyl Keytone (MEK). c) Install the strut fairing half with the screws (15 locations).
 d)  If the temperature of the sealing surfaces is below 50°F (10°C), apply a flow of warm air (not more than 120°F [50°C]) to the structure.
 e) Apply the primer with a brush or spray on all surfaces to be sealed. f) Let the primer dry for a minimum of 1 hour before you apply the sealant. g) Apply the sealant to the areas as shown in Fig. 402 (View C). h) Make the sealant smooth and let it dry for 10 hours.
 NOTE: The ten hour cure time is for standard
____ conditions of 77 |2°F (25 |1 C) and 50 |5% relative humidity. You can decrease the cure time with a flow of warm air (not more than 120°F [50°C]) on the sealant or make the seal surfaces warm.
 (k)  Disconnect the air source from the hose fitting and remove the hose from the drain line.
