(1)  S 715-020-C00Operate the VBV system to the full closed position (AMM 75-32-00/201).
 (2)  S 485-015-C00Attach a pull scale to the MEC feedback arm.
 NOTE:____ Use a lockwire.
 (3)  S 825-016-C00Apply a tension load of 15-17 pounds (67-76 N) in a line with the cable centerline axis.
 (4)  S 215-017-C00Keep the load while you do a check that the alignment bar of the feedback arm is aligned with the rig notch.
 (5)  S 825-018-C00If the alignment bar and the rig notch are not aligned, do the steps that follow: (a) Loosen the locking bolt on the adjustment bracket. (b) Turn the adjustment screw to align the alignment bar and the rig notch. (c) Tighten the locking bolt to 30-35 pound-inches (3.4-4.0 Newton meters). (d) Do the steps to load the MEC feedback arm for the static rig check.
 (6)  S 415-019-C00Close the left thrust reverser half (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 A.  The inspection of the feedback cable for the variable bleed valve includes a visual check for wear, correct installation, and if it is attached correctly.

 (1)  
Open the left thrust reverser half (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (2)  
Do a check of the components that follow:

 (a)  
Examine the end fitting and clevis end for damage or bends.

 1)  If they are not serviceable, replace the cable (AMM 75-32-05/401).

 (b)  
Examine the end fittings for marks. 1) None are permitted, polish the surface to remove marks.

 (c)  
Examine the rod end bearing to see if it freely turns and it is not too loose. 1) If it is not serviceable, replace the cable

 (AMM 75-32-05/401).

 (d)  
Examine the outer conduit for broken wire strands or wear through. 1) If it is not serviceable, replace the cable

 (AMM 75-32-05/401).

 (e)
Examine the support tube for damage, dents or bends.

 


 1)  If they are not serviceable, replace the cable (AMM 75-32-05/401).
 NOTE: The support tubes are not serviceable if they do not
____ permit easy movement of the end fitting and inner member.
