HIGH PRESSURE TURBINE CLEARANCE CONTROL TIMER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is to remove the High Pressure Turbine Clearance Control (HPTCC) Timer. The second task is to install the HPTCC Timer.
B. The HPTCC Timer is found on the left fan case at the 10 o'clock position.

2. Remove the High Pressure Turbine Clearance Control (HPTCC) Timer

Open the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Remove the nut and bolt from the clamp that attaches the TC1 tube to the bracket on the engine flange H.

Disconnect the seven tubes that follow from the HPTCC Timer:
(a)
PB tube.
(b)
PC tube.
(c)
TC1 tube.

(4) Hold the HPTCC Timer with your hand and do the steps that follow:
(a)
Remove the bolt that attaches the forward end of the HPTCC Timer to the bracket on the engine flange E.
(b)
Remove the bolts that attach the aft end of the HPTCC Timer to the bracket on the engine flange H.

Move the tubes away from the HPTCC Timer and remove the timer from the engine.

Install caps on the tube fittings on the HPTCC Timer and the disconnected tubes.
