BLEED VALVE AND BALLSCREW ACTUATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure supplies removal and installation instructions for the bleed valve and ballscrew actuators.
B. For this procedure the Variable Bleed Valve (VBV) doors will be referred to as VBV doors.
C. The installation procedure contains a check of the door position of the bleed valve.
D. To get access to the bleed valve and ballscrew actuator you must do the steps that follow:
(1)
Open the thrust reverser half.
(2)
Open the fan duct panel.
E. The 12 variable bleed valves have there are 11 bleed valve and ballscrew actuators installed on the fan frame.
F. The installation procedure is the same for all of the bleed valve and ballscrew actuators.
