WARNING:_______ OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PROCEDURE TO CLOSE THE
 THRUST REVERSERS.  IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE
 INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU CLOSE THE THRUST REVERSERS,

 INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 5) Close the thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).
 6) Close the fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).
 7) Do the check of the timer again.
 (g)  
If the timer does not operate correctly after the adjustment, replace the HPTCC timer (AMM 75-24-02/401). 1) If you replace the timer, do all of the checks again.

 (h)  
If the check of the HPTCC timer is complete and the engine has not been shutdown, then do the HPTCC valve check.

 (i)  
If the check of the HPTCC timer is complete, and the engine is shutdown, then you must start the engine, deactivate the timer and then do the check of the HPTCC valve.

 (11) Do the check for the HPTCC valve.
 (a)  
Make sure the 5th stage LED is not on.

 (b)  
Make sure the 9th stage LED is not on.

 (c)  
Turn the control box on.


 CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY MORE THAN THE STATIC TAKEOFF THRUST FOR THESE
_______ CONDITIONS. IF YOU APPLY MORE THAN THE STATIC TAKEOFF THRUST, DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE CAN OCCUR.
 (d)  
Continue to operate the engine and do a slow (approximately 3 minutes) engine acceleration.

 (e)  
Increase the speed of the engine to 96% N2. 1) Use the table 'SLOW ACCELERATION TO 97% N2 RPM' (Fig. 501). 2) Make a record in the table of the percent N2 values when

 the applicable LED displays on the control box change.

 (f)  
Do a slow (approximately 3 minutes) engine deceleration to minimum idle. 1) Use the table 'SLOW DECELERATION TO GROUND IDLE FOR 3

 MINUTES' (Fig. 501). 2) Make a record in the table of the percent N2 values when the applicable LED displays on the control box change.

 (g)  
Put the control box to the OFF position.

 If problems are found with the HPTCC valve, replace the Main Engine Control (MEC) (AMM 73-21-01/401).


 (a) Do the check for the HPTCC valve again.

 Connect all of the engine hardware (AMM 75-24-01/401).
