ENGINES POST-CFMI-SB 75-014; Indications of air leakage at the flange. 1) If an indication is found, replace the C-seal flange gasket
(AMM 75-33-01/401).

(3) Do a visual inspection of the CBP air tube and fittings and look for the items that follow:
(a)
Cracks, wear-through (caused by chafing), flat parts,
deformation and kinks.
1) If one or more of these are found, replace the tube
(AMM 75-33-01/401).
(b)
If an indication of air leakage at the tube coupling nut or
nipple is found, do the steps that follow:
1) If a loose coupling nut is found, tighten and torque the
nut to 135-150 pound-inches (15-17 Newton meters).
2) Install the lockwire from the nut to the sensor nipple.
3) If an indication of air leakage is found at the sensor,
replace the seal.

BLEED BIAS SENSOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks.
(1)
The first task is to remove the Bleed Bias Sensor.
(2)
The second task is to install the Bleed Bias Sensor.
B. The sensor is found between the 9th-stage duct flange and the 9th-stage
high pressure compressor (HPC) bleed port at the 4 o'clock position.

Open the fan duct cowl and thrust reverser halves
(AMM 78-31-00/201).

Disconnect the compressor bleed pressure (CBP) air tube from the bleed bias sensor.

(3)
Remove couplings at 3 and 8 o'clock parting flanges on the 9th-stage bleed duct.

(4)
Remove the coupling seals and keep them for the installation procedure.

(5)
Remove the bolts and washers that attach the 9th-stage duct flanges to the HPC bleed ports on the combustion case at the 4 and 8 o'clock positions.
