CAUTION: DO A CHECK THAT THE VALVE DOORS ARE ALMOST CLOSED.
_______
(4) Disengage and remove the flexible shafts from each side of the master ballscrew actuator.
NOTE: To do this, compress the spring hexagonal end of the flexible
____ shaft at the end away from the actuator (upper shaft) and at the actuator end (lower shaft). You must also disengage the 8-point fitting at the opposite end.
S 034-026-C00
(5) Disconnect the feedback rod of the variable bleed valve (VBV) from the feedback lever for door position as follows:
(a)
Remove and discard the cotter pin.
(b)
Remove the slotted nut.
(c)
Remove the washer.
(d)
Remove the bolt and disengage the clevis from the feedback lever.
S 034-027-C00
(6)
Remove the two screws that attach the bleed valve and master ballscrew actuator to the 9 o'clock strut.
S 034-028-C00
(7)
Loosen the four primary captive bolts that attach the bleed valve and master ballscrew actuator to the fan frame.
S 034-029-C00
CAUTION: DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE BOOT ON THE STOP MECHANISM WHILE YOU
_______ COMPRESS THE MAIN FLEXIBLE SHAFT.
(8) Use a hexagonal (Allen) wrench, 5/64 inch across the flats, to disengage the hexagonal end of the main flexible shaft.
NOTE: To do this, push it into the stop mechanism of the bleed
____
valve and the fuel gear motor.
S 024-030-C00
(9) Remove the bleed valve and master ballscrew actuator from the engine.
