D. Install the bleed valve and ballscrew actuator

(1) Do a check that the translating nut in the bleed valve and ballscrew actuator moves freely.
(a)
Operate the ballscrew actuator with the VBV drive shaft.
(b)
Use the dual purpose ratchet wrench.

Put the bleed valve near the closed position.

Put the bleed valve and ballscrew actuator in its location on the fan frame.

Tighten, by hand, the four captive bolts that attach the bleed valve and ballscrew actuator to the fan frame.
NOTE: Do not lubricate the bolt threads.

1) Before you install the setting yoke, use the master gage to make sure that the yoke is set correctly. a) If it is not set correcly, adjust it.
