 (12) Align the flange gasket between the flange of the 9th-stage bleed tube and valve flange.
 (a) Tighten the nuts to 55-70 pound-inches (6-8 Newton meters).

 (13) Tighten the bolts that hold the 9th-stage air tube to the compressor case to 55-70 pound-inches (6-8 Newton meters).

 Do a leak test for the clearance control valve as follows (Fig. 402):


 (a)  Attach a pressure test hose to the drain outlet for the HPT
 clearance control valve and right VSV actuator seal and shroud
 with an adjustable hose clamp.
 NOTE: The drain outlet for the HPT clearance control valve and____
 right VSV actuator seal and shroud is found at the rear
 drain assembly.
 (b)  Connect a dry air or nitrogen source to the hose fitting for
 the pressure test.
 (c)  Apply a pressure of 20-25 psi (138-173 kPa) to the hose
 fitting.
 (d)  Shut off the air or nitrogen supply when you have the correct
 pressure.
 (e)  Monitor the pressure for two minutes.
 NOTE: The pressure is permitted to decrease a maximum of____
 10 psi (70 kPa).
 (f)  If the pressure decreases more than 10 psi (70 kPa), make sure
 the fuel manifold bolts are tightened to the correct torque
 value.
 NOTE: This step applies if all connections between the____
 junction plate and VSV actuator head and rod end shrouds
 are not the source of the leakage.
