ú  (b) The VSV actuators must be installed on the engine in pairs
 (left and right sides of the engine) to maintain the balanced ú forces in the VSV system. Do not install VSV actuators with ú different part numbers. ú ú NOTE:____The actuator clevis threaded onto the VSV actuator rod ú end is pre-set and cannot be adjusted in the field. ú ú ú TASK 75-31-01-004-028-C00 ú2. AIRPLANES WITH CFM56-3B-1 OR CFM56-3B-2 ENGINES (PRE-CFMI-SB 72-982);
 Remove the Variable Stator Vane Actuator

 E. Procedure (Fig. 401)
 S 014-029-C00
 (1)  
Open the applicable thrust reverser half (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 S 864-030-C00

 (2)  
Operate the VSV's to the full closed position (actuator rod extended) (AMM 75-31-00/201).

 S 024-031-C00

 (3)  
Remove the actuator as follows:

 (a)  
Disconnect the line fittings on the shroud drain at the head and rod end shrouds at the actuator.

 (b)  
Loosen the head and rod end shrouds and move them to get access to the fuel tube nuts.
