 (30) Do a check of the rigging index hole for the conditions that follow:
 -
it is aligned with the edge of a ruler

 -
it is put in position on the stop mechanism

 -
it is against the mouting boss of the stop mechanism.


 NOTE: The rigging index hole is found on the feedback rod
____ between the master ballscrew actuator and the feedback reverser arm of the stop mechanism. The position of the hole is necessary for the door to close correctly.

 (31) If the rod is not in the correct rigging position, disconnect the feedback rod from the feedback lever for door position as follows:
 (a)  
Remove and discard the cotter pin.

 (b)  
Remove the slotted nut.

 (c)  
Remove the washer.

 (d)  
Remove the bolt and disengage the clevis from the feedback lever.

 (32) Adjust the length of the feedback rod.
 (a)  
Loosen the jamnut, and turn the clevis in or out, to adjust it to the correct length.

 CAUTION:_______DO A CHECK THAT THE THREAD IS ENGAGED SUFFICIENTLY. MAKE SURE A 0.08 INCH (2.0 MM) DIAMETER LOCKWIRE DOES NOT GO THROUGH THE WITNESS HOLE.

 (b)  
Put the clevis in the recess on the feedback lever for door position.


 NOTE: Make sure that the index hole is correctly set.

 (33) Connect the feedback rod to the feedback lever for door position.
 (a)  
Lightly lubricate the bolt threads with grease.

 (b)  
Install the bolt, washer and slotted nut.

 (c)  
Tighten the nut to 60-70 pound-inches (6.8-7.9 Newton meters) while you align the nut slot with the cotter pin hole.


 NOTE: Replace the nut if you cannot get the minimum torque
____ value or if you have more than the maximum torque value.
 (d)  Install and bend the cotter pin on the two sides of the nut.

 (34) Install the 9 o'clock fan duct panel (AMM 72-33-03/401).

 CAUTION: DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO, OR REMOVE THE SEAL AT THE TOP AND LOWER
_______ SURFACES OF THE STRUT FAIRING.
 (35) Install each half of the 6 o'clock strut fairing as follows:
 (a)  Remove the used sealant from the fairing and the mating surfaces on the extension ring and the fan frame strut. 1) Clean the surfaces.
