THE TWO ENDS OF THE CABLE AT THE SAME TIME.
2) With the inner member of the feedback cable fully retracted at the MEC end, remove the support tube. a) Count and write down the number of turns necessary to
remove the rod end bearing.
NOTE: Do this to keep the cable length constant during
____ the installation.
b) Loosen the nose cap.
CAUTION: DO NOT PERMIT DIRT OR UNWANTED MATERIAL TO GET
_______ INTO THE OPEN END OF THE CABLE.
c) Remove the nose cap and the support tube assembly from the feedback cable. 3) Do a visual check of the open part of the inner member for damage or bends.
NOTE: Do this with the cable inner member fully extended
____ at the MEC end.
4) Make the cable inner member straight, by hand. 5) Retract the cable inner member at the MEC end. 6) Install the nose cap and support tube assembly.
CAUTION: USE TWO WRENCHES WHEN YOU TIGHTEN THE NOSE CAP OR THE
_______ CABLE WILL TWIST. USE ONE WRENCH ON THE CONDUIT CAP AND ONE ON THE NOSE CAP.
7) Tighten the nose cap to 180-200 pound-inches
(20.3-22.6 Newton meters).
8) Install a lockwire.
9) Install the rod end bearing and jamnut.
a) Turn the rod end bearing and jamnut on the cable.
NOTE: Do this the same number of turns as it is

b) Do a check that the threads are sufficiently engaged.
NOTE: To do this, make sure a 0.032 inch (0.8 mm)
____ diameter lockwire does not go through the witness hole.
c) Tighten the jamnut against the rod end bearing to 20-25 pound-inches (2.3-2.8 Newton meters).
(k) Do the pull check.
1) If the pull force is more than 6 pounds (27 N), replace the cable (AMM 75-32-05/401).

(b)
Adjust the cable position.
NOTE: To do this, put the MEC end of the cable in position.
____ Put it in a position such that the top edge of the support tube is between the ends of the shaded area (Fig. 503, View B).
(c)
Try to attach the clevis end to the reverser arm.
