 ú  (6)  ENGINES PRE-CFMI-SB 75-007;
 ú  Clean the threads and flat areas of the cable conduit with MEK
 ú  solvent and a soft bristled brush.

 (7)  Carefully put the part of the conduit cap with threads into the
 slotted mounting bracket.
 ú  (a)  ENGINES PRE-CFMI-SB 72-412 OR ENGINES WITH ONE WASHER BETWEEN
 ú  THE CONDUIT CAP AND THE NOSE CAP;
 Install the washer on the nose cap side of the bracket.
 ú  (b)  ENGINES POST-CFMI-SB 72-412 OR ENGINES WITH TWO WASHERS BETWEEN
 THE CONDUIT CAP AND THE NOSE CAP;
 ú  Install one washer on the conduit cap side of the bracket.
 ú  Install the second washer on the nose cap side of the bracket.

 (8)  Install the nose cap and the support tube assembly.

 CAUTION: USE TWO WRENCHES WHEN YOU TIGHTEN THE NOSE CAP TO HOLD THE
_______ CABLE. IF YOU PERMIT THE CABLE TO TURN, DAMAGE TO THE CABLE CAN OCCUR.
 USE ONE WRENCH ON THE CONDUIT CAP AND ONE WRENCH ON THE NOSE CAP.
 (9)  Tighten the nose cap to 180-200 pound-inches
 (20-22.5 Newton meters).

 (a)  Safety the nose cap with a lockwire.

 Move the cable into the rubber packing block at the 6:30 o'clock position.

 (11)
 Install the three clamps that attach the MEC end of the feedback cable as follows:

 (a)  
Install the clamp bushings and inner and outer spring clips on the cable.

 (b)  
Lubricate the bolt threads with grease.

 (c)  
Attach the clamp to the 6 o'clock strut bracket of the fan frame with the bolt and nut (1 location).

 (d)  
Attach the clamps to the 6:30 and 7 o'clock rear flange brackets of the fan frame with the bolts and nuts (1 each).

 (e)  
Tighten the bolts to 100-110 pound-inches (11.3-12.4 Newton meters).

 CAUTION:_______ THE CABLE INNER PART MUST BE IN THE FULLY RETRACTED POSITION WHEN YOU REMOVE THE SUPPORT TUBE AND NOSE CAP. IF THE CABLE INNER PART IS NOT IN THE RETRACTED POSITION, DAMAGE TO THE POLISHED INNER PART OF THE CABLE CAN OCCUR.
 DO NOT REMOVE THE SUPPORT TUBE FROM EACH END OF THE CABLE AT THE SAME TIME.
 (12) Move the cable inner part to the fully retracted position at the bellcrank end.
 S 034-042-C00 (13) Remove the nose cap from the conduit cap at the bellcrank end.

Install the second washer on the nose cap side of the bracket.(c) ENGINES POST-CFMI-SB 72-950;Engines with this service bulletin do not use washers.
