 Disconnect the end of the VBV feedback cable from the MEC feedback arm as follows:

 (a)  
Loosen the fillister head screw.

 (b)  
Remove the retainer clip from the MEC feedback arm.

 (c)  
Remove the pin to release the rod end bearing from the MEC

 (15) Move the cable inner member to the fully retracted position at the MEC end.

 Loosen the nose cap and carefully move the conduit cap free from the MEC slotted bracket.

 Remove the VBV feedback cable as follows:


 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT BENDS IN THE CABLE ARE NOT LESS THAN SIX
_______ INCHES (152 MM) RADIUS DURING THE REMOVAL. DO THIS WHEN YOU INSTALL THE CABLE THROUGH THE SIX O'CLOCK STRUT. SMALL RADIUS BENDS CAN CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE CABLE.
 (a)  Hold the cable with your hand and carefully pull the cable up the 6 o'clock strut and through the junction plate.
 NOTE: Do this while you hold the cable end to prevent damage.

 (b)  Remove the feedback cable from the engine.

 D. Procedure (Fig. 401)

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT BENDS IN THE CABLE ARE NOT LESS THAN SIX INCHES
_______ (152 MM) RADIUS DURING THE REMOVAL. DO THIS WHEN YOU INSTALL THE CABLE THROUGH THE SIX O'CLOCK STRUT. SMALL RADIUS BENDS CAN CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE CABLE.
 (1)  With the MEC end of the cable retracted, supply the cable through the junction plate at the six o'clock strut.
 NOTE:____The MEC end of the cable is the longer end. This is measured from the two bolt flange that is attached to the cable.

Carefully put the cable down the six o'clock strut until the fixed flange touches against the junction plate.

Attach the flange to the junction plate with two bolts and two nuts.

 (a)  
Lightly lubricate the bolt threads with grease.
