VARIABLE STATOR VANE FEEDBACK CABLE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
__________________________________________________________
 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is to remove the variable stator vane (VSV) feedback cable. The second task is to install the VSV feedback cable.
 B.  The cable is connected to the VSV feedback arm on the aft end of the main engine control (MEC).
 C.  It goes up through the forward part of the 6 o'clock strut area and
 connects to the left VSV bellcrank lever arm at the 7:30 o'clock
 position.

 WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PROCEDURE TO OPEN THE THRUST
_______ REVERSER. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (1)  
Open the thrust reverser halves (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Disconnect the end of the VSV feedback cable from the lever arm of the VSV bellcrank assembly.

 (a)  
The VSV bellcrank assembly is found on the forward case of the high pressure compressor (HPC) at the 7:30 o'clock position.

 (b)  
Remove the cotter pin from the nut.
 1) Discard the cotter pin.


 (c)  
Remove the bolt, nut and washer.

 (3)  Move the inner part of the cable to the fully retracted position at the compressor bellcrank end.
