CAUTION:_______ A DAMAGED SEAL HAS AN IMPACT ON THE ENGINE
PERFORMANCE AND THE EGT MARGIN LOSS. A LOSS IN
ENGINE PERFORMANCE CAN OCCUR IF YOU DO NOT REPLACE
THE SEAL.
2) Seal damage is permitted, if the engine parameters are in the limits. a) If the engine parameters are not in the limits, replace
the bleed valve (AMM 75-32-03/401).
(b) Lubricate the exposed sides of the uniballs, with three to four drops of water repellant (CP2857). 1) Let the lubricant soak for 2-3 minutes. 2) Manually turn the uniballs in all directions.
NOTE: If binding or frozen slightly, use an open-end
____ wrench on the linkage to turn the rod end.
3) Apply three to four more drops of lubricant if it is necessary. 4) Move the uniballs in all directions until movement is smooth and free. 5) Wipe off the excess lubricant.
