ú ú ú ú ú ú (f) (g) (h) Retract the cable inner member at the bellcrank end.ENGINES PRE-CFMI-SB 72-412 OR ENGINES WITH ONE WASHER BETWEEN THE CONDUIT CAP AND THE NOSE CAP;Install the washer on the nose cap side of the bracket.ENGINES POST-CFMI-SB 72-412 OR ENGINES WITH TWO WASHERS BETWEEN THE CONDUIT CAP AND THE NOSE CAP;Install one washer on the conduit cap side of the bracket.Install the second washer on the nose cap side of the mountingbracket.
ú ú (i) (j) (k) (l) ENGINES POST-CFMI-SB 72-950;Engines with this service bulletin do not use washers.Tighten the nose cap to 180-200 pound-inches (20.3-22.6 Newton meters).Install some lockwire.Install the rod end bearing and the jamnut. 1) Turn the rod end bearing and jamnut on the cable.
NOTE:____ Use the same number of turns as necessary to remove the bearing.
2) Do a check that the threads are sufficiently engaged.
NOTE:____ To do this, make sure a 0.032 inch (0.80 mm) diameter lockwire does not go through the witness hole.
(m) 3) Tighten the jamnut against the rod end bearing to 24-27 pound-inches (2.7-3.1 Newton meters).Do the pull check. 1) If the pull force is more than 8 pounds (36 N), do a check of the inner member of the feedback cable at the MEC end.

CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE THE CABLE INNER MEMBER IS IN THE FULLY RETRACTED POSITION WHEN THE SUPPORT TUBE AND NOSE CAP
ARE REMOVED. THIS IS TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE
POLISHED INNER MEMBER. DO NOT REMOVE THE SUPPORT
TUBE FROM THE TWO ENDS OF THE CABLE AT THE SAME TIME.
2) With the inner member of the feedback cable fully retracted at the MEC end, remove the support tube. a) Remove the rod end bearing and the jamnut from the feedback cable.
b) c) Do the step that follows to keep the cable length constant during installation.Count and write down the number of turns necessary to remove the rod end bearing.
CAUTION:_______ DO NOT PERMIT DIRT OR UNWANTED MATERIAL TO GET INTO THE OPEN END OF THE CABLE.
d) e) Loosen the nose cap.Remove the nose cap and the support tub assembly from the feedback cable.
