(8) Make sure these circuit breakers for the fuel system are closed:
(a)
P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) BOOST PUMP FWD TANK 1
2) SHUTOFF VALVE ENG 1
3) SHUTOFF VALVE ENG 2
4) CROSSFEED VALVE
(b)
Set the two engine start levers to the IDLE position to open the fuel shutoff valves for the engine.

(9) Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) APU CONT

(10) Set the crossfeed valve switch on the P5 panel in the open position.
(a) Manually open the APU fuel valve.
D. Test Procedure

Set the switch for the FWD boost pump for the No. 1 tank to the ON position.

When the LOW PRESSURE light for the boost pump goes off, examine these locations for some fuel leaks.
NOTE: If the light does not go off, do the procedure to prime

the boost pump (AMM 28-22-41/401).

The crossfeed valve on the rear spar of the right wing
(c)
The engine shutoff valve on the front spar of the right wing

The manual defueling valve on the front spar of the right wing

The shroud drain line at the drain mast in the fairing on the left wing-body fillet.
NOTE: If you find leakage at the drain mast, you must do a
____ check of all the upstream branches of the drain manifold to find the source.
1) The APU shutoff valve on the rear spar of the left wing 2) The drain valve for the fuel line shroud for APU (aft of the left wheel well)

(3) Set the switch for the FWD boost pump for the No. 1 tank to the OFF position.
E. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Put the two engine start levers to the CUTOFF position to close engine shutoff valves.

Put the crossfeed valve switch on the P5 panel to the closed position.

(5) Remove the locks from the leading edge flaps (AMM 27-81-00/201).
