(1)
Do the necessary steps to remove the wiring from the conduit in the task, Fuel Boost Pump Wiring Inspection.
S 766-030
(2)
Do one of these three tests to find if there is a leak in the electrical conduit:
(a) Test 1 1) Fill the applicable fuel tank with fuel. 2) After 5 minutes, make sure there is no sign of fuel leakage
at the ends of the electrical conduit.
3) Examine the end of the electrical conduit at the front spar and the end near the fuel boost pump for indications of fuel leakage.
(b) Test 2 1) Fill the applicable fuel tank with fuel. 2) Pull a clean cloth through the electrical conduit with the
string.
NOTE: Tie a second string to the cloth, so that you
____ will have a string available to pull the wire through the conduit for the wire installation.
3) Make sure there is no fuel on the cloth.
(c) Test 3

2) 3) Pressurize the electrical conduit to 20 psi and shut-off the air supply. After 5 minutes with no supply of air, make sure the pressure shown on the pressure gage did not decrease.
NOTE:____ You must connect the pressure gage so that it reads the pressure in the electrical conduit even when the air supply is shut-off.
NOTE:____ You can do this test with any quantity of fuel in the tank.
(3) S 766-031If you do not find a leak (when you do one of the tests above) then it is not necessary to replace the electrical conduit immediately, but you must refer to SB 737-28-1120 for inspection requirements.
(4) S 766-032If you do find a leak (when you do one of the tests above) then you must replace the section of the electrical conduit where the leak is before the next flight.
(5) S 416-040Do the necessary steps to replace or re-install the wiring in the task, Fuel Boost Pump Wiring Inspection.
