1. General_______
A. This procedure is used to flush the fuel lines for the engine fuel-feed system.

2. Flush the Fuel Line for the Engine Fuel Feed System___________________________________________________
A. Equipment
(1)
Catch Tank - 55 gallon - one for each engine
(2)
Adapter, MS24398-16-6
(3)
Hose - with sufficient length to go from the strut to the catch tank

Open the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Disconnect each engine fuel-feed hose at the strut.

Connect the hose to the adapter.

Move the hose to a position where the fuel will drain into the catch tank (Fig. 701).

Make sure the boost pump switches on P5 panel are in the OFF position.

Make sure these circuit breakers on the P6 panel are in the closed position:

(1) Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

WARNING: DO NOT OPERATE THE BOOST PUMP FOR MORE THAN 10 SECONDS.
_______ THE OPERATION OF THE BOOST PUMP FOR MORE THAN 10 SECONDS CAN CAUSE TOO MUCH FUEL TO DRAIN INTO THE CATCH TANK.
(2) Operate each boost pump for 10 seconds.
(a) Put each boost pump switch to the ON position for 10 seconds and put it back to the OFF position.

(b) Do not operate more than one boost pump at the same time.
