Defuel the No. 1 tank and prepare to go into it (AMM 28-23-00/201, AMM 28-10-00/201).

Remove the No. 1 access panel (7202) for the No. 1 fuel tank (AMM 28-11-11/401).


 D. Jet Pump Removal Procedure
 S 034-007
 (1)  
Remove the nut and the washer that attach the jet pump to the front spar.

 S 024-008

 (2)  
Remove the jet pump from the No. 1 tank.

 (a)  
Go into the No. 1 tank to get access to the jet pump.

 (b)  
Disconnect the fuel lines from the jet pump.

 (c)  
Remove the jet pump from the tank.

 (d)  
Discard the O-ring.

 (2)  Access Panels
 7202 Fuel Tank Access Door

 D. Installation Procedure
 S 114-010
 (1)  Clean these surfaces with the aliphatic naphtha and dry them with a lintfree cloth:
 (a)  
The O-ring groove in the body of the jet pump

 (b)  
The mating surface for the body of the jet pump in the No. 1 tank.


 S 434-011
 (2)  
Install a new O-ring, lightly lubricated with fuel, in the groove in the jet pump.

 (3)  
Install the jet pump in the correct position.

 (a)  
Put the jet pump in its correct position through the hole in the front spar.

 (b)  
Attach the jet pump to the correct position with the washer and the nut.

 (4)  Connect the fuel lines to the jet pump.
 E. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
 S 414-014
 (1)  Install the No. 1 access panel (7202) that you removed to get access to the jet pump (AMM 28-11-11/401).
