FUELING FLOAT SWITCH - INSPECTION/CHECK
_______________________________________
1. General_______
A. This procedure contains these tasks:
(1)
Wing tank float switch inspection
(2)
Center tank fueling float switch wiring inspection
(3)
Center tank float switch electrical conduit inspection
B. The wire bundle that goes to the float switch in each fuel tank goes through a conduit with fuel-tight connections. It is necessary to do an inspection of the conduit in each wing tank regularly for signs of leakage. Water can collect in the conduit and freeze. This can cause damage to the conduit. If the conduit is filled with grease, this will prevent the collection of water in the conduit and subsequent damage (AMM 28-21-71/401).
TASK 28-21-71-796-001
