Connect the external electrical power to the airplane
(AMM 24-22-00/201).

Make sure each of the fuel tanks contains a minimum of 2000 pounds (900 kilograms) of fuel.

Make sure the manual defueling valve is closed.

Make sure the APU master switch on the P5 panel is in the OFF position.

Make sure all the switches on the P5 panel for the fuel boost pumps are in the OFF position (Fig. 501).

(8) If the MASTER CAUTION and the system annunicator lights are on, push the right or the left MASTER CAUTION light.
(a) Make sure all these lights go off.

(9) Set the engine fire switches on the P8 panel to the FIRE position to close the engine shutoff valves.
E. Test Procedure for the Lights

(1)
Do a check for the correct operation of the related lights.
(a)
Examine the P5 panel (Fig. 501).
(b)
Make sure the LOW PRESSURE lights for the boost pumps for the No. 1 and the No. 2 tanks are on.
(c)
Make sure the MASTER CAUTION light and the lights for the FUEL system annunciator are on.
(d)
Push the right or the left MASTER CAUTION light and make sure these effects occur: 1) The FUEL annunciator and the MASTER CAUTION lights go off. 2) The LOW PRESSURE lights for the boost pumps stay on.
(e)
Push the FUEL annunciator light and make sure these lights come on: 1) The FUEL annunciator light 2) The MASTER CAUTION light.
