S 865-186
(7) Stop the boost pump operation.
(a)
Set the switch of the fuel boost pump that you used to pressurize the line to the OFF position.
(b)
Open the circuit breaker for that boost pump.
(c)
Open the removal valve for that boost pump.
(d)
Let the fuel drain from the drain valve.
(e)
Close the drain valve for the fuel boost pump.
G. Test Procedure for the Boost Pump Valves on the Center Tank
S 495-092
(1)
Put the container below the drain valve of the applicable boost pump for the center tank (Fig. 503).
S 865-095
(2)
Close the removal valve for the LEFT boost pump and the removal valve for the RIGHT boost pump manually.
NOTE: You must close the two removal valves to do this test
____
correctly.
S 795-098
(3) Do a check for leakage.
(a)
Open the drain valve for the fuel boost pump.
(b)
Make sure there is no more liquid after the remaining fuel goes out of the valve.
S 795-099
(4) Do these steps to do a check for leakage while the fuel feed line is pressurized:
(a)
Close the circuit breaker on the P6 panel for the applicable boost pump: 1) BOOST PUMP TANK 1 FWD 2) BOOST PUMP TANK 2 FWD
(b)
Set the applicable forward boost pump switch on the P5 panel to the ON position.
(c)
If no fuel flows from the drain valve, these valves operate correctly: 1) The removal valve for the center boost pump 2) The discharge check valve for the center boost pump 3) The check valve for the fueling line outlet.
NOTE: The boost pumps for the center tank do not have
____
the vent valves.

(d) If some fuel flows, one of the three valves operates incorrectly. 1) If fuel flow increases when you pressurize the fuel line,
the discharge check valve for the applicable center fuel boost pump is does not operate correctly.
2) If fuel flow does not increase when you pressurize the fuel line, one of these valves does not operate correctly: a) The removal valve for the boost pump b) The check valve for the fueling line outlet.
S 865-187
(5) Stop the boost pump operation.
(a)
Set the switch of the fuel boost pump that you used to pressurize the line to the OFF position.
(b)
Open the circuit breaker for that boost pump.
(c)
Open the removal valve for that boost pump.
(d)
Let the fuel drain from the drain valve.
(e)
Close the drain valve for the fuel boost pump.
S 715-191
(6) Do these steps to do a check of the forward/center check valve (if it is installed):
NOTE: On some airplanes, the same check valve prevents backflow
____ to the the forward boost pump in the No. 1 tank and the left boost pump in the center tank (in addition to the discharge check valves on the two pumps). This is one forward/center check valve. An equivalent check valve prevents backflow to the forward boost pump in the No. 2 tank and the right boost pump in the center tank. This is the other forward/center check valve.
(a)
Close the circuit breaker on the P6 panel for the applicable aft boost pump: 1) BOOST PUMP TANK 1 AFT 2) BOOST PUMP TANK 2 AFT
(b)
Set the switch for the applicable aft boost pump to the ON position.
