Put the air vent stack through the hole in the wing.
(b)
Align the mounting screw holes on the access panel with the correct holes in the opening of the access panel.
(c)
Put some mounting screws into the mounting screw holes to hold the access panel and the gasket in the correct position.
(3)
Put the remaining mounting screws in the mounting screw holes.

Tighten all the mounting screws symmetrically to between 63 and 77 pound-inches.
(5)
Connect the battery again, if you disconnected it.
(6)
Removed all the warning signs that you installed.

SURGE TANK PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks:
(1)
A task to remove the pressure relief valve for the flame arrester in the surge tanks
(2)
A task to install the relief valve for the flame arrester in the surge tanks.
B. It is not necessary to remove the valve to do a check that the valve operates at the correct pressure difference.

(2) S 944-022Remove the electrical power from the airplane (AMM 24-22-00/201). (a) Do not connect the power again until the fuel tank is closed and safe.
(3) S 944-023Disconnect the battery and attach a sign that shows OPEN FUEL TANKS DO NOT CONNECT.

_______ TO GO INTO IT. YOU CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THE SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(4) Make sure there is no remaining fuel in the surge tank.
(a)
Open the applicable sump drain valve.
(b)
Let the remaining fuel flow into a container.

WARNING: DO NOT TRY TO REMOVE THE ACCESS PANEL WHEN THE PRESSURE RELIEF
_______ VALVE IS IN THE CLOSED POSITION. THE DEVICE THAT OPENS THE PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE CONTAINS A STRONG SPRING WHICH CAN EASILY CAUSE BAD INJURIES TO YOUR FINGERS.
(5) Put the pressure relief valve into the open position if it is not open.
(a) PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE WITH THE KNOB TYPE OF RESET; Do these steps to open the pressure relief valve:
