Defuel the No. 1 fuel tank and prepare to go into it (AMM 28-10-00/201).

Get access to the wing rear spar.
(a) Remove the No. 1 access panel for the No. 1 fuel tank (AMM 28-11-11/401).
(3)
Do the task, "APU Shutoff Valve Actuator Assembly Removal".

Get access to the valve through the No. 1 access panel (7202) and the applicable rib access openings (AMM 28-11-11/401).

Put the container below the valve and disconnect the APU fuel line.

(a) Remove the unions and keep them for the installation.

CAUTION:_______DO NOT LET THE VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY FALL. YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FUEL TANK SEAL.
(6) Remove the valve body assembly.
(a)
Two persons are necessary to do this task. 1) One person must be out of the tank. 2) One person must be in the tank.
(b)
The person in the tank must hold the valve body assembly up.
(c)
The person out of the tank must remove the mounting screws for the body assembly.
(d)
Move the valve body assembly away from the tank.

(1) Clean these surfaces with the aliphatic naphtha and dry them with a clean lintfree cloth.

Install some new O-rings, lightly lubricated with fuel, on the unions and install them in the valve body assembly.

Install a new O-ring, lightly lubricated with fuel, in the groove on the valve body assembly.
