ENGINE FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE SWITCH - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General_______
A. This procedure has one task, an operational test of the switch for the engine fuel shutoff valve.
B. You must make sure the engine start levers are correctly rigged before you do this task. This is necessary to make sure the fuel system and the ignition system operate correctly together.
C. The switch for the fuel shutoff valve is installed on brackets in pilot's control stand. There is one switch for each start lever. You can get access to the switch for the fuel shutoff valve for the No. 1 engine from the left side of the pilot's control stand. You can get access to the switch for the fuel shutoff valve for the No. 2 engine from the right side of the pilot's control stand.
D. You can do this test procedure for each switch for the fuel shutoff valves or for the two switches together.

Connect the external electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(2)
Set the engine start lever in the CUTOFF detent.

Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:

(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE
2) SHUT-OFF VALVE ENG 1
3) SHUT-OFF VALVE ENG 2

(4) Make sure the engine fire switch on the P8 panel is in the NORMAL position.
