(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel 1) CROSSFEED VALVE 2) INDICATOR MASTER DIM BUS
D. Test Procedure

(1) Do a check that the indication lights for the position of the crossfeed valve operate correctly (Fig. 501). (a) Find the indication lights on the P5 panel. (b) Push the lights to make sure they come on and make sure they are bright blue.
NOTE:____ The lights are press-to-test.

(2) Make sure the crossfeed valve switch on the P5 panel is in the closed position.

(3) Examine the position of the manual override lever on the crossfeed valve to make sure the crossfeed valve is fully closed (Fig. 502).

(4) Make sure the crossfeed valve operates correctly with the crossfeed valve switch in the OPEN position. (a) Set the crossfeed valve switch on the P5 panel to the OPEN position. (b) Make sure the position indication light shows these effects: 1) The position indication light comes on brightly to show a change in the crossfeed valve position. 2) The position indication light stays on dimly to show that the crossfeed valve is open.

(c) Examine the position of the manual override lever on the crossfeed valve to make sure the crossfeed valve is fully open.

Set the crossfeed valve switch on the P5 panel to the CLOSED position.

change in the crossfeed valve position. 2) The position indication light goes off to show the crossfeed valve is closed.
(c)
Examine the position of the manual override lever on the crossfeed valve to make sure the crossfeed valve is fully closed.
E. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(1) Remove the electrical power if it is not necessary for other tasks (AMM 24-22-00/201).

4. Fuel Boost Pump Control and Indication Test___________________________________________
A. General
(1)
This procedure does a check of each of the boost pumps in the No. 1 tank, the center tank, and the No. 2 tank. This check makes sure that each pump supplies sufficient fuel pressure to cause the applicable low pressure indication light to go off.
(2)
A minimum boost pump pressure for each pump is necessary to supply fuel to the engines in flight. To make sure that each pump supplies that minimum pressure, do this task: Fuel Boost Pump Output Pressure Test. The Boost Pump Control and Indication Test does not do a test for that minimum output pressure.
