(2)
Close the removal valve for the fuel boost pump manually.
S 795-089
(3)
Do a check for leakage.
(a)
Open the drain valve for the fuel boost pump.
(b)
Make sure there is no more liquid after the remaining fuel goes out of the valve.
S 795-090
(4) For the aft boost pump check valves, do these steps to do a check for leakage while the fuel feed line is pressurized.
(a)
Close the circuit breaker on the P6 panel for the applicable forward fuel boost pump: 1) BOOST PUMP TANK 1 FWD 2) BOOST PUMP TANK 2 FWD
(b)
Set the applicable forward boost pump switch on the P5 panel to the ON position.
(c)
If no fuel flows from the drain valve, these valves operate correctly: 1) The removal valve for the boost pump 2) The vent valve for the boost pump 3) The discharge check valve for the aft boost pump or the
redundant check valve (if it is installed) for the aft boost pump
NOTE: It is possible that one of these two valves does
____
not operate correctly.
(d) If some fuel flows, one or more of these valves operates incorrectly. 1) If the fuel flow increases when you pressurize the fuel
line, these two valves operate incorrectly:
a) The discharge check valve for the aft boost pump
b) The redundant check valve for the aft boost pump (if it
is installed).
2) If the fuel flow does not increase when you pressurize the fuel line, one of these valves does not operate correctly: a) the removal valve for the boost pump

(5) Stop the boost pump operation.
(a)
Set the switch of the fuel boost pump that you used to pressurize the line to the OFF position.
(b)
Open the circuit breaker for that boost pump.
(c)
Open the removal valve for that boost pump.
(d)
Let the fuel drain from the drain valve.
(e)
Close the drain valve for the fuel boost pump.
S 795-185
(6) For the forward boost pump valves, do these steps to do a check for leakage while the fuel feed line is pressurized.
(a)
Close the circuit breaker on the P6 panel for the applicable center boost pump: 1) BOOST PUMP CTR TANK LEFT 2) BOOST PUMP CTR TANK RIGHT
(b)
Set the applicable switch for the center tank boost pump to the ON position. 1) Continuously monitor for the LOW PRESSURE light for the
fuel boost pumps in the center tank. 2) Turn the applicable fuel boost pump for the center tank to the OFF position if the LOW PRESSURE light stays on.
(c)
If no fuel flows from the drain, these valves operate correctly: 1) The removal valve for the forward boost pump 2) The vent valve for the forward boost pump 3) The discharge check valve for the forward boost pump
(d)
If some fuel flows from the drain, one or more of these valves does not operate correctly: 1) If the fuel flow increases when the line is pressurized,
the discharge check valve for the forward boost pump does not operate correctly.
