D. Prepare the Fueling Shutoff Valve for Installation

(1)
Clean the bolts, washers, and backup rings with solvent.

Dry it with a lintfree cloth.

Install the washer and backup rings on the bolts that attach the valve.

(4)
Install a new O-ring, lightly lubricated with fuel, on the bolts.

Clean the machined surfaces of the manifold and the fueling shutoff valve with solvent.

Rub the surfaces dry with a lintfree cloth.

Install a new O-ring, lightly lubricated with fuel, on the fueling shutoff valve.
E. Install the Fueling Shutoff Valve

Lightly lubricate the shutoff valve O-ring with fuel.

(2)
Put the fueling shutoff valve into the manifold.

CAUTION: DO NOT REMOVE OR HOLD THE O-RING TOO TIGHTLY WHEN YOU TURN THE
_______ FUELING SHUTOFF VALVE. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE O-RING IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL.
(3) Turn the fueling shutoff valve until the bolt holes align with the holes in the manifold.

(4) Lightly lubricate the bolt O-rings with fuel.

(5) Install the bolts.

(6) Tighten all the bolts equally.

(7) Connect the bonding jumper to the fueling shutoff valve.

(8) Connect the electrical plug to the fueling shutoff valve.

(9) Measure the electrical bond between the fueling shutoff valve and
the structure (SWPM 20-20-00).
NOTE:____ The resistance must not be more than 0.0010 ohm.

Close the access door, 6540, for the refuel station.
