Defuel the airplane (AMM 28-23-00/201).

Open the left fan cowl panels to get access to the left service disconnect panel for each engine (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Disconnect the fuel supply lines for the left and right engines at the left service disconnect panel for the left and right engines (Fig. 601).

Put the fuel supply lines in containers that can contain fuel.

To remove fuel from the fuel feed line and manifold, do these steps:
(a)
Manually open the defueling valve.
(b)
Let the fuel drain into the fuel containers at each inlet line.

Connect the pressure check equipment, as shown in Figure 602, to each fuel supply line.

To do a test of the engine fuel-feed manifold (Fig. 603), put the valves in these positions:
NOTE: You must position these valves manually.

Make sure the APU fuel shutoff valve is closed.
(b)
Make sure the crossfeed valve is open.
(c)
Make sure the two engine fuel shutoff valves (spar valves) are open.
(d)
Make sure the defueling valve is closed.

(3) Use the air pressure source to apply 35 psig air pressure to the inlet line for the left engine.
