 WHEN YOU INSTALL THE PORT ADAPTER ASSEMBLY. YOU CAN CAUSE
 DAMAGE TO THE O-RING.
 (4)  Install the port adapter assembly.
 NOTE: Two persons are necessary to do this step.____
 (a) Put one person in the fuel tank to hold the port adapter
 assembly up.
 (b) Put a second person out of the tank to install the parts that
 attach the port adapter assembly.
 (c) Carefully move the port adapter assembly into a position
 between the fuel line flanges.
 (d) Install the bolts that attach the fuel line flanges to the
 adapter assembly.
 (e) The person out of the tank must install the bolts and the
 washers on the port adapter assembly.
 (f) Tighten the bolts in the port adapter assembly to a torque of
 100-140 pound-inches.

 (5)  Do the task: "Engine Fuel Shutoff Valve Actuator and Gate Assembly
 Installation".

 (6)  Do the task: Fuel Tank Access Panel Installation
 (AMM 28-11-11/401).

 (7)  Do an operational test of the shutoff valve.
 (a) Connect the external electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
 (b) Do the procedure: "Do an Operational Test of the Shutoff
 Valve".

 (8)  Do a leak test of the fuel shutoff valve.
 (a) Fill the fuel tanks with fuel (AMM 12-11-00/301).
 (b) Make sure there are no fuel leaks around the shutoff valve on
 the front spar.

 (9)  Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
 (a) Close the access door to the shutoff valve for the engine fuel.

 ENGINE FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE SWITCH - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A. This procedure has two tasks:
 (1)
A task to remove the switches for the engine fuel shutoff valve

 (2)
A task to install the switches for the engine fuel shutoff valve.

 D. Procedure
 S 864-002
 (1) Open these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
 (a)  P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE
 2) SHUT-OFF VALVE ENG 1
 3) SHUT-OFF VALVE ENG 2

Put the start levers in the CUTOFF detent.

Remove the top and bottom forward panels on each side of the pilot's control stand.

 NOTE: The switches for the fuel shutoff valves are installed on
____ brackets on the pilot's control stand. There are two switches, one switch for each start lever. You can get access to the switch for the No. 1 start lever from the LEFT side of the pilot's control stand. You can get access to the switch for the No. 2 start lever from the RIGHT side of the pilot's control stand.

 (4)  Loosen the terminal screws and disconnect the three wires from the switch (WDM 28-21-01).
 (a)  Use an adhesive, masking tape that you can write on to make tags to identify each wire, common (C), open (NO), closed (NC), to make it easier to install them again.
