FUEL SCAVENGE FLOW INDICATOR/CHECK VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks:
(1)
A task to remove the check valve (flow indicator) for the fuel scavenge system
(2)
A task to install the check valve (flow indicator) for the fuel scavenge system.
B. The check valve (flow indicator) for the fuel scavenge system is in the No. 1 tank. It is necessary to defuel the tank to get access to the check valve. It is also necessary to extend the leading edge flaps to get access to the parts that attach the check valve to the airplane.

(1) Connect the external electrical power if it is not connected (Ref 24-22-00/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE
_______ AND TE FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Extend the leading edge flaps (Ref 27-81-00/201).
