BOOST PUMP 115 V AC CIRCUIT BREAKER IS OPEN - Visually inspect each end of the conduit to make sure that the teflon sleeves are visible and there is no fuel leak into the conduit. IF -

NOT OK
OK

If installed, remove and examine the boost pump conduit wire bundle (AMM 28-22-00/601). Repair any problems that you find.
Make sure that the maintenance records do not show a history of open circuit breakers where the cause in not identified. IF -

OK
OK
Disconnect the electrical connector for the applicable pump. Examine the airplane and pump sides of the connector for damage. IF -


Repair any NOT OK problems that you find.
NOT OK


Do not reconnect the electrical connector. Close the circuit breaker for the applicable pump. Put the applicable pump switch to the ON position. Wait five minutes. Put the applicable pump switch to the OFF position. The circuit breaker should remain closed. IF -

Reconnect electrical connector. Make sure there is sufficient fuel in the tank (see the Prepare for Trouble Shooting section). Put the applicable pump switch to the ON position. Wait five minutes. Put the applicable pump switch to the OFF position. The circuit breaker should remain closed. IF -

Do these steps for the applicable pump: replace the boost pump relay, close the 115 V AC circuit breaker, and put the pump switch to the ON position. Wait five minutes. Put the applicable pump switch to the OFF position. The 115 V AC circuit breaker should remain closed. IF -

NOT OK Repair the wiring.
OK
Reconnect the boost pump electrical connector. Make sure there is sufficient fuel in the tank (see the General section). Put the applicable pump switch to the ON position for five minutes. The circuit breaker must remain closed. The low pressure light must not show.
OK

Replace the open 115 V AC circuit breaker. Close the new circuit breaker. Put the applicable pump switch to the ON
NOT OK  position. Wait five minutes. Put the applicable pump switch to the OFF position. The new circuit breaker should remain closed. IF -

Do a wiring check between the applicable boost pump and the related boost pump
NOT OK
relay (WDM 28-23-01).  IF -


NOT OK Repair the wiring. OK
Do a wiring check between the open 115 V AC circuit breaker and the related boost pump relay (WDM 28-23-01). IF -

Reconnect the boost pump electrical connector. Make sure there is sufficient fuel in the tank (see the Prepare for Trouble Shooting section). Put the applicable pump switch to the ON position for five minutes. The circuit breaker should remain closed. The low pressure light should not show.
