FUELING PANEL VALVE POSITION LIGHT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure has two tasks:
(1)
A task to remove the fueling panel valve position light.
(2)
A task to install the fueling panel valve position light.

C. Procedure
S 864-003
(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel 1) QTY (for fuel quantity gauge) 2) EP GND FUELING (for ground refueling panel)
S 014-004
(2) Open the access door (6540) for the refuel station (the P15 panel).
(a) Remove the pins that attach the linkage assemblies to the access door.

Disconnect the electrical plug from the fuel quantity indicator.

(4)
Remove the refuel quantity indicators from the refuel instrument panel.
(a) Make a mark on the fuel quantity indicators to install them again in the correct position.

Remove the screws that attach the refuel instrument panel to the wing structure.
(6)
Disconnect the bonding jumpers from the refuel instrument panel.

(7) Remove the refuel instrument panel.
NOTE: You can also attach the panel to the support member for
____ the leading edge to keep it safe during this procedure.

Move the rubber cover from the light assembly to get access to the screws.

Remove the screws that connect the electrical wires to the light assembly.

Remove the nut and lockwasher from the back side of the light assembly.

Remove the light assembly from the instrument panel.
