(3) Close these circuit breakers:
(a) P6-3 Panel - FUEL SYSTEMS
1) QTY
2) FUEL CONT. NO.1 AFT - NO.2 FWD - CTR L
3) FUEL CONT. NO.1 FWD - NO.2 AFT CTR R
4) BOOST PUMP TANK 1 FWD
5) BOOST PUMP CTR TANK LEFT
6) BOOST PUMP CTR TANK RIGHT

(4) Make sure the fuel tanks have the correct fuel quantities that follow:
(a)
Left Main Tank: 2,000 - 8,000 LBS (908 - 3,632 KGS).
(b)
Center Tank: 800 - 1,200 LBS (363 - 545 KGS).
(c)
If it is necessary, move the fuel from one tank to a different tank (AMM 28-23-00/201).

Make sure the switches for the center tank right and the center tank left boost pumps on the P5-2 panel are OFF.

Make sure the switches for the left and the right boost pumps of the center tank have been OFF for at least 25 minutes.
NOTE: The 25 minute time limit is to make sure the fuel

scavenge shutoff valve is closed.
D. Fuel Scavenge System Test

(1) Write down the left main tank fuel quantity indication from the P2 or the P15 panel.
NOTE: The left main tank fuel quantity will be referred to as

On the P5 panel, set the switch for the FWD boost pump for the No. 1 tank to ON.

Do a check for fuel flow.
(a)
Monitor the fuel quantity indicators for the center tank and the No. 1 tank for five minutes.
(b)
Make sure the fuel quantity in each tank does not change.

(4) Set the two switches for the boost pumps for the center tank to ON. (a) To operate the fuel boost pumps in the center tank, you must be in the flight compartment to continuously monitor for the LOW PRESSURE lights. 1) Turn the applicable fuel boost pump switch for the center tank to the OFF postion if the LOW PRESSURE light stays on.
(5) S 715-033Set the switch for the LEFT boost pump for the center tank to OFF.
(6) S 715-034Do a check for fuel flow. (a) Monitor the fuel quantity indicators for the center tank and the No. 1 tank for five minutes. (b) Make sure the fuel quantity in each tank does not change.
(7) S 715-035Set the switch for the LEFT boost pump for the center tank to ON.
(8) S 715-036Set the switch for the RIGHT boost pump for the center tank to OFF.
(9) S 715-037Do a check for fuel flow. (a) Monitor the fuel quantity indicators for the center tank and the No. 1 tank for five minutes. (b) Make sure the fuel quantity in each tank does not change.
