_______ VALVE. DAMAGE TO THE WARNING SIGNAL FOR THE REMOVAL VALVE CAN OCCUR.
(2) If you are scheduled to install the removal valve for one of the FWD boost pumps, do these steps:
(a)
Extend the leading edge flaps (AMM 27-81-00/201).
(b)
Install the leading edge flap locks (AMM 27-81-00/201).
(c)
Remove the small clearance panel from the bottom wing skin at the location below the actuator handle on the removal valve.

Defuel the No. 1 tank and prepare to go into it (AMM 28-23-00/201, AMM 28-10-00/201).

Remove the access panel, No. 1, for the applicable tank (AMM 28-11-11/401).

Remove the bolt that attaches the pump inlet line to the clamp.

CAUTION:_______HOLD THE VALVE WHEN YOU REMOVE THE LAST BOLT. DAMAGE TO THE VALVE OPERATING SHAFT OR THE WING SKIN CAN OCCUR IF THE VALVE FALLS.
(6) Remove the valve mounting bolts.

Pull the pump inlet line sufficiently clear of the valve to let you remove the valve.

Pull the valve out in a straight line until the tongue is clear of the slot on the operating shaft.

(1) Clean the O-ring groove and the machined surfaces of the valve and the mating surfaces with the solvent.

(2) S 164-030Dry the machined surfaces of the valve and the mating surfaces with a lintfree cloth.
(3) S 434-014Install the new O-ring into the grooves on the valve.
(4) S 414-015Hold the inlet line to prevent blockage with the valve.
(5) S 424-016Put the valve in the correct position with the tongue and the slot of the operating shaft engaged.
(6) S 414-017Put the inlet line flange against the valve (Fig. 401).
(7) S 434-018Install the mounting bolts on the removal valve but do not tighten them.
