 Let the engines operate at the IDLE rate, and set these switches on the P5 panel to the OFF position:

 (a)
the FWD boost pump switch for the No. 2 tank

 (b)
the AFT boost pump switch for the No. 2 tank.

 CAUTION: IF THE FUEL FLOW DECREASES AND YOU THINK AN ENGINE FLAMEOUT
_______ WILL OCCUR, STOP THE ENGINE. DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN EASILY OCCUR.
 (15) Monitor these quantities to make sure the engine operates with the correct limits for low idle operation (AMM 71-00-00/201):
 (a)  
RPM - N2: 59%
 N1: 21.5%


 (b)
FF (Fuel Flow) - 550-950 PPH (250-430 KGPH)

 (c)
EGT - 450-650 degrees C

 (d)
OIL PRESS - 13 to 35 psi

 Monitor N1, N2, and the fuel flow to see if the fuel flow rate decreases or changes quickly.

 Move the thrust lever for the No. 2 engine forward to the position for 90% takeoff power (which you found in the "Prepare for the Test" procedure).
