NOTE: It is not necessary to disconnect the wires for the flap limit switches [39].
(a) Remove the screws [40] and washers [56] and the switch cover [31] from the flap control
unit assembly [9].
(b) For the Flap UP limit switch, S245, Flap Up limit switch, S1051 and the Flap DOWN limit
switch, S246, do this task: Flap Limit Switch Removal, TASK 27-51-63-000-801.
(c) For the Landing Warning Switch, S138, do this task: Flap Landing Warning Switch
Removal, TASK 31-51-01-000-801.
SUBTASK 27-51-61-020-004
(4) Disconnect the cables [48], WFFA and WFFB at the turnbuckles [50]:
NOTE: It is necessary to remove the cables [49] with the flap control unit assembly [9].
(a) Remove the locking clips [49] and disconnect the turnbuckles [50] on the cables [48].
(b) Put a label on the cables [48] to identify them.

(5) Disconnect the electrical connector [33] from the trailing edge flap control valve [34].

(6) Disconnect the hydraulic lines [32]:
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic lines [32] from the trailing edge flap control valve [34].
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic lines [32] from the leading edge control valve [35].

(7) Remove the flap control unit assembly [9]:
(a) Remove the bolts [15] and washers [14] from above the flap control unit assembly [9]
(Figure 401).
(b) Remove the bolts [41] and washers [42] from below the flap control unit assembly [9]
(Figure 402).
(c) Remove the flap control unit assembly [9].
