OUTBOARD AFT FLAP TRACKS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of the aft flap tracks for the outboard flap
(2) An installation of the aft flap tracks for the outboard flap.
B. There are four aft flap tracks on the outboard flaps. You can use this procedure to remove and install
one or more of the aft flap tracks. If you remove more than two aft flap tracks, it is necessary to
remove the aft flap from the main flap.

SUBTASK 27-51-26-020-001
(1) If you will remove more than two aft flap tracks, then remove the aft flap [2]. To remove the aft
flap [2], do this task: Outboard Aft Flap Removal, TASK 27-51-22-000-801.

(2) If you will remove one or two aft flap tracks, then extend the trailing edge flaps to the 40-unit
position. To extend them, do this task: Extend the Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-803.

(3) Do this task: Trailing Edge Flap System Deactivation, TASK 27-51-00-040-801.
D. Outboard Aft Flap Track Removal
SUBTASK 27-51-26-020-002
(1) For the outboard aft flap track assembly [3], remove the pin [12], nut [11], washer [10], washer
[8], bolt [7] and bushing [9] that attach it to the aft flap [2].

(2) For aft flap track assembly [4], aft flap track assembly [5] or aft flap track assembly [6], remove
the pin [18], nut [17], washer [16], washer [14], bolt [13] and bushing [15] that attach it to the aft
flap [2].

(3) Remove aft flap track assembly [6] from the main flap [1] (View D):
(a) Remove the bolts [19] and washers [20] that attach the cartridge assemblies [21] to the
track support rib [22] on the main flap [1].

(b) Remove the cartridge assemblies [21] from the track support rib [22].
NOTE: There are four cartridge assemblies [21] on the track support rib [22].
(c) Carefully remove the aft flap track assembly [6] from the track support rib [22].

(4) Remove the aft flap track assembly [5] from the main flap [1] (View E):
(a) Remove the bolts [23] and washers [24] that attach the cartridge assemblies [21] to the
track support rib [22] on the main flap [1].
(b) Remove the cartridge assemblies [21] from the track support rib [22].
NOTE: There are four cartridge assemblies [21] on the track support rib [22].
(c) Carefully remove the aft flap track assembly [5] from the track support rib [22].

(5) Remove aft flap track assembly [3] or aft flap track assembly [4], from the main flap [1] (View F):
(a) Remove the bolts [23] and washers [24] that attach the cartridge assemblies [25] to the
track support rib [22] on the main flap [1].
(b) Remove the cartridge assemblies [25] from the track support rib [22].
(c) Carefully remove the aft flap track assembly [3] or aft flap track assembly [4] from the track
support rib [22].
