(k) Move the ALTN FLAP control switch to the DOWN position and hold it until the flaps stop
moving.
(l) Make sure the left pointer is in the 40-unit white band and the right pointer is in the 30-unit
white band.
(m) Remove the safety tag and close this circuit breaker:

(n) Make sure the right pointer moves to the 40-unit white band.
(o) Make sure the tips of the pointers align in the limit of 0.06 inch (1.5 millimeters).
(p) Move the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to the OFF position.

(8) Move the flap control lever to the UP position to retract the flaps.
SUBTASK 27-58-02-710-003
(9) Do the test of the flap position indicator [1] in the UP position:
(a) Make sure the pointers on the flap position indicator [1] are in the UP white band.
(b) Make sure the tips of the pointers on the flap position indicator [1] align in the limit of 0.06
inch (1.5 millimeters).
F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(1) Remove system B hydraulic power, do this task: Hydraulic System A or B Power Removal,
TASK 29-11-00-860-805.

2. Flap Skew Detection System Adjustment
A. General
(1) This task includes the adjustment of the flap skew mechanisms on all of the flap supports.
(2) It is not necessary for the flap skew sensors to be installed on the flap skew mechanism when
you do the adjustment.
