OUTBOARD FLAP TRACKS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of the outboard track for the outboard flap
(2) An installation of the outboard track for the outboard flap
(3) A removal of the inboard track for the outboard flap
(4) An installation of the inboard track for the outboard flap.

2. Outboard Flap Outboard Track Removal
(Figure 401)
A. General
(1) This task is applicable to the flap tracks at flap supports No. 1 and 8.

(a) Do this task: Outboard Flap Outboard Support Forward Fairing Removal,
TASK 27-51-28-000-801.
(b) Do this task: Outboard Flap Outboard Support Aft Fairing Removal,
TASK 27-51-28-000-802.

F. Outboard Flap Outboard Track Removal
NOTE: Make sure you support the flap track while you disconnect it. The outboard track for the
outboard flap weighs approximately 110 pounds (50 kilograms).
SUBTASK 27-51-25-480-001
(1) If you will use the adapter, SPL-1733, install it on the flap track [1]:
(a) Install the adapter, SPL-1733 on the flap track [1] approximately 33 inches (84 cm) aft of the
track attach fitting.
(b) Put a low profile hydraulic jack, COM-1568 below the adapter, SPL-1733 to support the flap
track [1].

(2) Remove the nut [15], washers [14], washer [12] and bolt [13] to disconnect the jumper wire [16]
from the flap track [1].

(3) Disconnect the forward end of the flap track [1]:
(a) Remove the bolts [18] and washers [17] that attach the failsafe fitting assembly [19] to the
track attach fitting.
(b) Remove the nut [22], washer [21] and fuse pin [20] from the forward end of the flap track [1].
