(4) Disconnect the electrical connector [38] from the flap skew sensor [35].

(5) Remove the flap skew sensor [35]:
(a) Remove the bolt [34], washer [33] and washer [31] that attach the jumper wire [32] to the
flap skew sensor [35].
(b) Remove the bolts [36] and washers [37] that attach the flap skew sensor [35] to the sensor
input assembly [39].
(c) Remove the flap skew sensor [35] from the sensor input assembly [39].

5. Outboard Flap Inboard Skew Sensor Installation

(1) This task is applicable to the flap skew sensors installed on flap supports No. 2 and 7.

(1) Make sure that these circuit breakers are open:

(2) Install the flap skew sensor [35]:
(a) Apply grease, D00633 to the packing [40].
(b) Install the packing [40] on the flap skew sensor [35].
(c) Apply grease, D00633 to the shaft of the flap skew sensor [35] and the splines on the sensor
input assembly [39].
(d) Apply a thin layer of compound, C00913 to the mating surface of the flap skew sensor [35]
and the sensor input assembly [39].
(e) Engage the shaft on the flap skew sensor [35] with the sensor input assembly [39].
NOTE: The shaft has a missing tooth on the splines.

(f) Engage the alignment pin on the sensor input assembly [39] with the hole in the flap skew
sensor [35].
(g) Apply compound, C00913 to the shank and threads of the bolts [36].
(h) Install the bolts [36] and washers [37] to attach the flap skew sensor [35].
(i) Install the bolt [34], washer [33] and washer [31] to attach the jumper wire [32] to the flap
skew sensor [35].
(j) Make sure the bonding resistance between the flap skew sensor [35] and the jumper wire
[32] is less than 8 milliohms.
(k) Apply a bead of sealant, A02315 or sealant, A00247 to the head of the bolt [34].

(3) Before you connect the electrical connector [38], examine the connector for corrosion.
WARNING: DO THE STEPS BELOW IF THE AIRPLANE OPERATES AT AIRPORTS WHERE
DEICING FLUID THAT CONTAIN POTASSIUM FORMATE IS USED. ALSO DO THE
STEPS FOR ALL AIRPLANES THAT YOU FOUND CORROSION IN THE
ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS IN THE MAIN WHEEL WELL. THE ELECTRICAL
CONNECTOR IS PART OF A SYSTEM THAT IS NECESSARY FOR SAFE FLIGHT.
(a) If there was corrosion, refer to (SWPM 20-60-03) to correct the problem.
(b) Apply the D5026NS or ZC-026 compound, G50171 to the connector (SWPM 20-60-03).
