(2) Install the sensor input assembly [81]:
(a) Apply a layer of compound, C00913 to the mating surface of the sensor input assembly [81]
and the flap track [90].
(b) Apply compound, C00913 to the shank and threads of the bolts [99].

(c) Put the sensor input assembly [81] in its location on the flap track [90].
(d) Install the bolts [99], washers [100], washers [101] and nuts [102] that attach the sensor
input assembly [81] to the flap track [90].
(e) Install the bolt [85], washer [86], washer [87], washer [88] and nut [89] to attach the jumper
wire [84] and the sensor input assembly [81] to the flap track [90].
NOTE: Install the washer [87] under the jumper wire [84].
(f) Make sure the bonding resistance between the flap track [90] and the jumper wire [84] is
less than 8 milliohms.
(g) Apply a bead of sealant, A02315 or sealant, A00247 around the bolt [85] and the nut [89].

(3) Install the control rod [92]:
(a) Apply compound, C00913 to the shank and threads of the bolts [93].
(b) Put the control rod [92] in its position between the carriage [91] and the crank arm [98].
NOTE: Make sure the adjustable end of the control rod [92] attaches to the crank arm
[98].
(c) Install the bolts [93], washers [94], bushings [95], washers [96] and nuts [97] to attach the
control rod [92].
NOTE: Install the bolt [93] that attaches the control rod [92] to the crank arm with the head
toward the center of the flap track [90]. Install the bolt [93] that attaches the control
rod [92] to the carriage [91] with the head away from the center of the flap track
[90].

(4) Do this task: Flap Skew Detection System Adjustment, TASK 27-59-00-820-801.

(5) If the flap skew sensor [83] is not installed, do this task: Inboard Flap Outboard Skew Sensor
Installation, TASK 27-59-01-400-803.

(6) Before you connect the electrical connector [82], examine the connector for corrosion.
WARNING: DO THE STEPS BELOW IF THE AIRPLANE OPERATES AT AIRPORTS WHERE
DEICING FLUID THAT CONTAIN POTASSIUM FORMATE IS USED. ALSO DO THE
STEPS FOR ALL AIRPLANES THAT YOU FOUND CORROSION IN THE
ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS IN THE MAIN WHEEL WELL. THE ELECTRICAL
CONNECTOR IS PART OF A SYSTEM THAT IS NECESSARY FOR SAFE FLIGHT.
(a) If there was corrosion, refer to (SWPM 20-60-03) to correct the problem.
(b) Apply the D5026NS or ZC-026 compound, G50171 to the connector (SWPM 20-60-03).

(7) Connect the electrical connector [82] to the flap skew sensor [83].

8. Inboard Flap Inboard Skew Mechanism Removal
(Figure 204)
A. General
(1) This task is applicable to the flap skew mechanisms installed on flap supports No. 4 and 5.
(2) You can remove the flap skew mechanism with the flap skew sensor [121] either removed or
installed. This task shows the removal with the flap skew sensor [121] installed.
