(1) Set the SPOILER A and B switches on the forward overhead panel to the OFF position.

(2) Open this circuit breaker and install safety tag:

(3) Set the ELEC 2, HYD PUMPS A and the ELEC 1, HYD PUMPS B switches on the forward
overhead panel to the OFF position.

(4) Operate the rudder pedals to decrease the remaining hydraulic system pressure.

(5) If it is necessary to open a hydraulic line, you must release pressure from the reservoir for the
applicable hydraulic system. To release it, do this task: Hydraulic Reservoirs
Depressurization, TASK 29-11-01-860-802 or Hydraulic Reservoirs Depressurization,
TASK 29-09-00-860-802.

(6) Install the flight controls hydraulic module locks (Figure 202):
(a) Disconnect the electrical connector from the spoiler shutoff valve at the flight controls
hydraulic modules A and B.
(b) Put the manual override lever at the two spoiler shutoff valves in the position 2 (OFF
position).
(c) Install the lock, SPL-1675 on the two spoiler shutoff valves.
1) Install the lockpins.
